Many studies have demonstrated the importance of collaboration as a driver of employee productivity and efficiency.

The lack of collaboration observed by companies is often not due to any unwillingness on the part of employees, but results from the unsuitability of their offices for social and informational exchange.

Collaborative work requires appropriate spaces that are conducive to sharing and cooperation, and which also provide individuals with the technological equipment required for sharing information.

In order to foster more collaborative work, it is necessary to create spaces devoted to group work, and also to redesign the layout to develop informal interaction between co-workers.
